Experience & Employment History

2009 – Present - Commercial Valuer – Property Solutions (BOP) Limited.  Assessing a wide range of commercial and industrial properties, together with specialised property assessments.

2003 – 2009 - Senior Commercial Valuer for DTZ – Hamilton.  Involved in specialised commercial market valuations, rental valuations, insurance valuations, asset valuations, and arbitrations.

2001 – 2003 – Registered Valuer for Ford Valuations - Hamilton.  Undertaking a wide range of commercial and industrial valuation work for Alan Ford, previous Fellow and President of the Property Institute.

1997 – 2001 - Registered Valuer for Darragh Valuations – Waikato.  Manager of the Cambridge office undertaking a wide range of residential, lifestyle and commercial valuation work.

1994 – 1997 - Weathermaster Products – Hawkes Bay.  Business owner/director of a manufacturing company producing window coverings, awnings and screens.

1992 – 1994 - Valuation New Zealand – Hamilton.  Graduate Valuer undertaking all aspects of urban valuation and rating valuation including working on the first indexation of the South Waikato Tokoroa revaluation.

Other

I spent two years living and working in Japan learning and understanding the cultural differences and work ethics of the Japanese society, working for the Language Institute of Japan from 1991-1992.  This has given me a sound understanding of cultural differences.

Interests

I am a fully qualified certified diving instructor and spend time in the weekends boating, fishing and diving, together with spending time with my young family of four children.

I am a keen traveller and have travelled extensively through Western Europe, parts of Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia and North America, together with Pacific Islands, Middle East and Australia.
